Together, we gradually make sense of what is happening to you or what is worrying you. We can begin to shed light on the things you do not understand, the things that trouble you, or those you may not yet be aware of. In therapy, I support you as you learn to understand yourself and what is happening in your life. I also help you notice thoughts or beliefs that hurt you or keep you from moving forward, so that we can find our way back to what feels healthy and natural within you.
We often repeat patterns in our lives without even realising it. At other times, we know they are there but do not know how to stop, because we have not understood that those patterns appeared for a reason and once served a purpose. In therapy, we listen to the needs within you that have not been attended to, and explore how you can reconnect with yourself and with what you truly need.
Ultimately, therapy is about helping you understand yourself better, recognise what you have not been attending to within yourself, and begin to give yourself what you genuinely need in order to feel more at peace and connected to who you are. Once you understand and support yourself, you can see your difficulties more clearly and approach them in a way that truly fits you.
We cannot always change the circumstances of our lives. We all go through painful moments and difficult situations, but we can learn to face them with greater confidence and a stronger connection to ourselves.
